The Jacaranda! blooms this year were as big and bright and beautiful as ever but I'm also raising an almost tween so I thought this year I'd try to stay ahead of the 'gramming and brooding and just post pretentious "fallen petals" photos  

actually, the kid was the one who showed me how to use "Portrait Mode" on my phone, so here we are

Paskombalong time of the year again, baby! Expect the unexpected! (and also, the expected!) This year, the bar-b-q lines were longer than ever before...   

...there was a surprise appearance by a full PBA Legends squad...

...the recycled-material parols (and the stories behind them) were cooler than ever...

...the i-push ang anak game remained strong...

...you could still count on the Fil-com to bring the colors and the culture...

...and on an unscheduled performance by Tina and/or Elvis that wasn't on the program

If they see their shadow, there'll be six-weeks more weeks of Fil-Christmas

IT'S EARLY, BUT THE PHILIPPINE HONORARY CONSULATE IN DUBLIN MAY HAVE ALREADY WON CHRISTMAS

So I guess I won't bother this year with my annual Running of the Christmas Photoshops by Foreign Service Posts, because Ireland already shut things down

But, counterpoint: look good feel good do great, amirite? I mean, the LLDD-Hyphen-L only recently started rocking the activewear around town and then immediately crushed it at her gym 

Meanwhile, I who have worn nothing but loose socks, puruntong shorts and dad-bod T's just recorded the same gym's first ever workout fail when I stepped and slipped on a treadmill that was still moving, face-planted, whipped my spine into a reverse-c shape, and got tapa scrape wounds the length of my forearm. 

And further to the counterpoint: there is in fact nothing sexier to this chubby hubby than seeing his yummy mummy flex around the neighborhood in non-gym settings  

But exception that may prove the point: the LLDD-Hyphen-L going back to said gym and working out in halloween cosplay is its own kinda activewear hot

let her do her thing and let me enjoy this i guess is my point
