The Australian-Philippine Business Council just held it's annual dinner, and the quality of the movers and shakers in the room was quite impressive. Almost every SME or big Australian company doing trade with the Philippines, and vice versa, was in the house.
Equally impressive was the keynote speaker, a billionaire who made much of his fortune from his investments in the Philippines. No surprise, his talk was interesting, informative and inspiring.
And, oh by the way, he owns the National Basketball League. So, no surprise again, when it came time for the evening's charity auction, he came away with the chip.
